Dartmouth Fitness Membership at Alumni Gym Benefit

About the Benefit

The Dartmouth Fitness Membership at Alumni Gym wellness benefit provides a free annual membership, valued at up to $450, for Alumni Gym (indoor raquet and squash courts, indoor track and gymnasium, swimming pools), as well as the Zimmerman Fitness Center (cardio/strength equipment).

Please note:

• The membership dates for this wellness benefit are 1/1 - 12/31 (if you are hired after 7/1, the membership dates are 7/1 - 12/31 and the value of your membership is $225).
• The Dartmouth Fitness Membership wellness benefit is available to active benefits-eligible employees only. Other community members, including spouses, may pay out of pocket for a membership. 
• Gym lockers are not included in this benefit.  
• If your employment at Dartmouth ends before 6/30, you may continue using your gym membership through 6/30. If your employment at Dartmouth ends between 7/1 - 12/31, you may continue using your gym membership through the end of the current calendar year. Emeriti will be able to continue using your current ID card; non-emeriti employees who are no longer Dartmouth employees should reach out to athletics.sales@dartmouth.edu to obtain a new ID card for gym access. Please note: your gym membership will only remain active in these instances as long as you continue having access to campus. 

Enrollment Process

Employees must elect this wellness benefit in FlexOnline either as a new hire, or during the annual Open Enrollment period. You will need to complete your gym waiver within FlexOnline as part of your enrollment process; your ID card will be activated in approximately one week after you make your election and agree to your gym waiver.  

Tax Information

• This value of this benefit is considered imputed taxable income and applicable taxes will be withheld from your paycheck (for those electing this benefit during Open Enrollment, taxes will be withheld in your January paycheck).
• There will be no tax refunds if you get a refund on your membership; please consult with a tax advisor.
