Flu Season is here - stop the spread of germs!

Flu season is upon us and it's not too late to get your flu shot. Some local pharmacies, as well as Dartmouth Health Connect, still have vaccine available. Please call first to confirm availability.

There are many steps you can take to stay healthy including washing your hands frequently with soap, avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth, and cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs like the flu.

Wellness at Dartmouth has partnered with a well-being organization affiliated with Richard Branson's Virgin Group to provide the Pulse at Dartmouth program. This is an engaging and motivating program that will aim to continually maintain and improve the health of our community. The Pulse at Dartmouth program provides a comprehensive suite of personalized tools and support, including fun step-based MOVE IT challenges, activity, sleep and nutrition trackers, social connections, daily health tips, a personal health assessment, onsite Health Stations, and more!  Many successes including weight loss, increased energy, reducing hemoglobin A1c levels, and eliminating blood pressure medications have been reported by Pulse participants.

As a participant, you can:

  • Earn up to $400 per calendar year ($100 per calendar quarter; up to $800/family/year if spouse is enrolled on your health plan through Dartmouth College). Please note: rewards are considered taxable income and applicable taxes will be withheld from payroll.
  • Receive one free MAX™ Activity and Sleep Tracker device, or a one-time credit of $24.99 towards the purchase of another device, that will synchronize your activity with the Pulse program (all credits applied after checkout)

You must elect the Pulse program as your wellness program option for 2018 to participate in it. For more details on eligibility and how to elect Pulse as your wellness program option, view the Frequently Asked Questions list here.
