The Pulse at Dartmouth Program

Join over 2,700 of your colleagues and spouses in the Pulse Program today!

Wellness at Dartmouth has partnered with a well-being organization affiliated with Richard Branson's Virgin Group to provide the new Pulse at Dartmouth program. This is an engaging and motivating program that will aim to continually maintain and improve the health of our community. The Pulse at Dartmouth program provides a comprehensive suite of personalized tools and support, including fun step-based MOVE IT challenges, activity, sleep and nutrition trackers, social connections, daily health tips, a personal health assessment, onsite Health Stations, and more! As a participant, you can:

  • Earn up to $400 per calendar year ($100 per calendar quarter; up to $800/family/year if spouse is eligible)
  • Receive one free MAX™ Activity and Sleep Tracker device, or a one-time credit of $24.99 towards the purchase of another device, that will synchronize your activity with the Pulse program (all credits applied after checkout)

The Pulse at Dartmouth program is open to all active benefits eligible employees (including those who have waived coverage).  It is also open to spouses who are enrolled on the employee's Dartmouth College health plan.  For more details on eligibility, view the Frequently Asked Questions list here.

A Change is Coming to When You are Taxed on Pulse Rewards

Beginning October 1, 2017 any rewards earned through the Pulse Program will be taxed when earned instead of redeemed. Any unredeemed rewards in your Pulse account as of 11:59 PM on September 30, 2017 will be taxed in your November 1st or 3rd paycheck, and then moving forward, any rewards earned will be taxed on a monthly basis.  Click here to learn more. 

New Quarter: July 1 - September 30

Saturday, July 1st marked the beginning of a new quarter. All points reset to zero and you now have a new opportunity to reach level 4 and earn $100 by September 30th to help you earn up to $400 by December 31st, 2017.

Don't forget to redeem any earned dollars:

  • Log in at, hover over the Rewards tab and select Spend My PulseCash.
  • Select your redemption option: put it into the bank with direct deposit, Visa or gift card, make a purchase in the Pulse Store or donate it to a charity organization.
