Let's make 2017 a healthy year together!

Wellness at Dartmouth is here to help you thrive and support your health and well-being in 2017. We are pleased to offer opportunities that will promote a healthy new year for us all.  We encourage you to get involved by completing some or all of the below well-being action items. 

Take an energy break each day!

Energy breaks are a short 2-5 minute break such as a stretch, a stair climb, a mindful minute or a quick walk that can help you replenish your energy, feel less stressed and fuel productivity. Aim to take at least one energy break each day. Looking for energy break ideas? Click here

Help yourself and your office be healthy!

Adding more movement in your day and staying energized is so important!  Use the healthy department toolkit for ways to help yourself and your department stay healthy in 2017.  And, check out our latest bulletin board posts; you could even use these to create a bulletin board in your department (we update our posts every month)!

Visit an onsite Health Station

Check your weight, blood pressure, and/or waist circumference at a health station location near you. Plus engage with the Pulse program app and sync your MAX device.  The Health Stations are open and available for all employees to use; you do not have to be a Pulse participant to take your measurements. 

Part of the Pulse Program? Take your Health Assessment & get ready for some upcoming programs!

Earn 1,000 points for completing your Health Assessment in 2017. To access your Health Assessment, click here (or after logging in here, select the "Programs" tab and click on the Health Assessment link). On a mobile device, click on the megaphone icon at the bottom of your device. 

Engage with Pulse at to read your daily cards, participate in the monthly Healthy Habit challenges and the campus-wide MOVE IT Challenges, and more!

Think Pulse is just an activity program? Have you heard something about the program that's holding you back? Hopefully these common myths here will alleviate your concerns!  Learn more about the Pulse program, including eligibility, here.

Receive Discounted Gym Membership Fees

Thinking of joining a local gym? Check out our list of facilities (including Alumni Gym, FLIP, UVAC & CCBA) where you can receive discounted membership fees or waived joining fees for being a Dartmouth employee.

Join Dartmouth Health Connect for an innovative relationship-based primary care practice that gives you the type of health care you deserve. Receive 24/7 access to your care team, no cost for office visits and access to physicians, nurses, health coaches and an in-house behavioral health specialist. Open to all employees and adult family members enrolled in a health plan through Dartmouth College (you cannot be contributing to or receiving contributions to an Health Savings Account).
