Our service professionals clean, maintain, and care for Dartmouth's buildings and grounds, ensuring the life safety and efficient functioning of all academic, research, residential, and administrative buildings.

Custodial Services

Our custodial and cleaning staff continually apply best practices to improve the quality of our cleaning program. We strive to assure Dartmouth's buildings are sustainably healthy and safe. 

Grounds Services

Dartmouth's Grounds Services includes the Trash & Recycling crew who handle all waste removal, the Labor crew who help with everything from room set-up to snow removal, the Grounds crew who handle seasonal landscaping tasks, and the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair crew who inspect and maintain College vehicles.

Recycling & Waste Management

 Dartmouth's waste management efforts focus on recyling, composting, and diverting waste from the local landfill. 

Residential Operations

The Residential Operations staff oversees the facilities needs of Dartmouth's residence halls and academic affinity/special interest buildings as well as College-owned social organization houses. 

Trades Services

The professionals in our technical trades shops follow a robust preventative maintenance program and take excellent care of Dartmouth's buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. 

Woodlands Office

Foresters in the Woodlands Office, located in Milan, NH, are responsible for sustainably managing all of Dartmouth's woodland properties in northern New England, including the 27,000 acre Second College Grant. The Grant is a multiple-use forested ecosystem, used for educational, research, recreational, wood production, and financial purposes.
