Scheduling
Courtney Rogers (Courtney.Rogers@Dartmouth.EDU) manages scheduling for all scanner activities.
- Researchers must request access to the Moore DBIC Scanner Outlook calendar through Courtney Rogers.
- The DBIC Scanner calendar can also be viewed online here.
- All scan time requests must be submitted to Courtney Rogers via email.
Scan hours
Peak hours
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Off-peak hours
- Monday-Friday after 4:00 p.m.,
- All day Saturday/Sunday
Off-peak sessions require both:
1. A certified scan operator
2. A certified scan buddy

Scheduling tiers
The DBIC uses a three-tier scheduling system. Requests within each tier are compiled and allocated by Courtney Rogers.
Tier 1 – Grant-funded (External funding)
- Booking opens on/around the first business day of the preceding month and remains open for four business days.
- Labs may request peak and off-peak time for the entire month.
- Up to 60% of weekly peak (~24 hrs) and off-peak (~44 hrs) may be allocated across all Tier 1 labs; 40% is reserved for Tier 2.
- Priority is based on project, with a maximum of two independent grand-funded projects per lab eligible for Tier 1 scheduling.
Tier 2 – DOF-funded
Includes startup, dissertation, honors, and third-or more projects within a lab.
- Booking opens on/around the 8th of preceding month for four business days.
- Priority is based on project, wiht up to two independent DOF-funded projects per lab eligible for Tier 2 scheduling.
Tier 3 – All projects
- Booking window opens on/around the 16th of preceding month.
- Requests are scheduled on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis.
