Jerry: "My father took me up [to Dartmouth] in advance, I think, before they accepted me, and we talked to a wonderful man named Robert C. Strong who was the dean of freshman…and we went into his office and he questioned me and my father … Then he straight out talked about the quota system. He said it's gonna be tough. We may well not take you in … I was impressed that he was such an honest guy."
