D-Pay for Parents and Others Granted Access by Student/Account Holder

Because of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) the student is the only one immediately granted access to his/her student account. However, D-Pay is designed so students can give parents and others online access to their accounts. Parents and other individuals responsible for paying student bills must be set up as an Authorized Payer by their student in order to have access to the student bill.

Getting Started

Once the student invites you, you will receive an e-mail with the subject “You have been invited to enroll to use D-Pay” which will include your Activation ID. You will need this Activation ID# to enroll in D-Pay. If you experience any difficulty with the process that follows, please call (800) 239-4211.

You will also be provided the following web address: https://bosebill.salliemae.com/NetPay/Templates/677/frameset677.html.

• Click the sign-up button.
• Select the Other Payer radio button.
• Accept the agreement.
• Enter Activation ID # and the six (6) character Dartmouth Student ID# as the Payer ID.
  Please note: Any letter(s) in the Student ID# must be capitalized.
• Enter your first and last names, verify your e-mail address, add a second e-mail address (optional), and provide your telephone number (optional).
• Click on the next button.
• Create a username and password.
  Please note: Usernames and passwords are case sensitive.
• Answer one of the secret questions which are used to retrieve forgotten usernames and passwords.
• Click the Next button.

If you plan to make payments from your own bank account, you can create a Bank Account Profile on the bottom of the My Profile page. Please note: It must be a checking or savings account with an US financial institution.

As an Authorized Payer you will also be able to:

• Access and print prior account statements.
• Receive e-mail notifications whenever a new account statement is available to view.
• Print a copy of the bill by using the Print option in your Internet browser.
• View your online payment history.
