Fee Descriptions

Student Fees

Health Access Fee

The Health Access Fee is charged to every enrolled student (including undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students), for each term the student is enrolled. This fee will continue to be charged on a termly basis going forward. It was established many years ago to support the availability of College primary care, counseling, and pharmacy health resources for all students (including students on off-campus programs) - whether or not they have physicians elsewhere, and whether or not they make use of these resources on campus or remotely in any given term. This year, as they were this spring and summer, our Health Service clinicians are available to all students - see https://students.dartmouth.edu/health-service/about/dartmouth-college-health-service-open

The fee appears on the tuition and fees bill for each term of enrollment.

International Services Fee

The per term international services fee helps offset costs generated by the visa sponsorship process and the support services offered to international students.  This fee is assessed to all actively enrolled international students at the College—both undergraduate and graduate.  An international student for the purposes of this fee is defined as one who is not a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident, and who holds, or is applying for, a valid U.S. visa or immigration status under Dartmouth’s sponsorship.

The fee appears on the tuition and fees bill for each term of enrollment.

General Student Services Fee

All undergraduate students are assessed a General Student Services fee each term enrolled.  The General Services Fee contributes to a number of ongoing services, including technology, the library and facilities costs that support them.

The fee appears on the tuition and fees bill for each term of enrollment.

Student Activity Fee

The Student Activities Fee supports student governance, student organizations and student activities that are student-run and student-initiated programs - all of which are continuing remotely.

The fee appears on the tuition and fees bill for each term of enrollment.

One-time Undergraduate Fees

Class Dues

At the beginning of their first-year undergraduate students are assessed a one-time charge. Funds collected from these charges are made available to the Class Council over the four years that the class attends the College.

Student Record Fee

In their first term of enrollment each undergraduate is assessed a one-time document or student record fee. This fee entitles the student to an unlimited number of official transcripts. Additionally, the fee covers a number of services offered by the undergraduate Career Services Office. The fee covers these services while the student attends the college and post attendance it covers unlimited transcripts.
