Douglass Carr Griffing

griffing Douglass Carr Griffing, Class of 1873, attended Dartmouth College for one year. He graduated in 1873. Previous to that, he attended Oberlin College. Post-grduation he attended Harvard Law School. Mr. Griffing was the son of a white man and a Negro woman. According to some people, he looked white enough to pass. Mr. Griffing served as a member of the Mississippi Senate and was also in business in Kansas. He disappeared and his whereabouts are unknown.
