Dartmouth College Library October Conference:
Travel, Directions and Lodging

 **Please note that if traveling on the Dartmouth Coach, the bus from Boston does not arrive to campus until noon on the day of the conference. **

 

Ride Share Option:

We have set up an easy-to-use rideshare board to help make your travel less expensive and more fun!  If you are interested in carpooling, please visit October Conference Carpool 2017

Carpool Instructions:

  • If you have a ride to offer, click on “add” in the upper left and fill out your details.
  • If you need a ride, click on “join waitlist” on the right and fill out your details.
  • If you see someone on the waitlist who you can drive, just drag and drop them into your “car.”
  • If you are on the waitlist and see a carpool that meets your needs, just drag and drop yourself into that “car.”

 

Parking Options:

  • Dartmouth Dewey Lot: (Best Option) located behind Geisel School of Medicine. Closest proximity to the conference location at Occom Commons, Goldstein Hall.  Conference attendees must display their conference parking permit on the dashboard of vehicle. You must have a parking permit to park in this lot, or your vehicle may be ticketed. (Note: permits are free of charge and will be emailed to attendees prior to event). Search our campus map for Goldstein Hall and Dewey Lot. For Dewey Lot, use the search term "Grounds Labor Building" at 15 Dewey Field Road. Dewey Lot is located right next to the Grounds and Labor building. 
  • Street Parking: Metered 2 hr. parking along Maynard St by conference location. 

 

Lodging Options:

 If you are traveling from a far and need or want to spend the night or the weekend in the Upper Valley region,

please visit Dartmouth’s area lodging page for a listing of local hotels and inns.
