Sample WebPAC Pages

Welcome to the WebPAC design subgroup's test page site. The pages on this site are works-in-progress and demonstrate the evolution of the WebOPAC page design. Although the final product is expected to be viewable with both Internet Explorer and Netscape, these example pages are best viewed with Internet Explorer 5. The various pages have been assigned a number which appears in the window title when the page is displayed. (For example, Search by Author (4b3).) If you wish to comment on the pages, please try to include the window title so we can find the page to which you are referring. Please choose one of the following sets of pages:

  • Banner and Button Examples The design subgroup is considering several different top banners and button bars. From this page you can see 5 different ideas displayed on the main menu, search and result pages.
  • Main Menus A variety of main menu layouts were considered by the Main Menu and Design subgroups. Those are shown here.
  • Search Help Pages Various button and banner designs have been considered by the Design Subgroup. Examples on a search and result page are shown here.
  • Button Bar Summary A summary of the various button bar/banner combinations considered by the Design Subgroup.
  • Banners Various banner designs that have been suggested. These banners are shown in context on various pages in the Banner and Button Examples above.
