Epitome in Trogi Pompeii historias. This manuscript was written in Italy in the mid-fifteenth century in a semi-gothic humanist hand. The wide margins have been used by an owner for comments on the text. Initial letters are not illuminated; catchwords are present at the end of each gathering.

Brief, 4 November 1513 Papal brief confirming a grant of land in Bologna, Italy, to Ioanin Francisco de Rugerio. The brief is in a fine humanist hand, the work of the writing master Arrighi and signed by Pietro, Cardinal Bembo. Gift of Mark Lansburgh.

Latin manuscript on paper of the late fifteenth century. Of southern German origin, the text is a glossary and dictionary of canon law and theology. Of particular interest is the staple and chain still present and attached to the binding.

Single leaf of a Carolingian glossary, ca. 825, with the text from "refulgavit" to "reges," and the appropriate glosses. The hand is a superb example of Carolingian court minuscule, possibly written at Aachen. The manuscript was Phillipps 36181. Gift of Mark Lansburgh.
