Single leaf of a Dutch book of hours written in Dutch in a fine fourteenth-century hand. The pen flourishes on the upper, left, and lower borders are in blue and red. It contains three fine decorated initials as well as a series of smaller initials in blue and red. The text is on twenty-two lines on both the recto and verso. Purchase on the Benz Fund.

Book of hours written in France in a gothic hand in the third quarter of the fifteenth century. It contains eight full-page miniatures and ten large initials. The first miniature precedes the calendar and is of Saint Roch and is followed by the appropriate antiphon and prayers. From the library of Samuel Barlow. Gift of the estate of William J. Bryant.

Franco-Flemish book of hours written by at least two scribes, ca. 1450, in a gothic hand. The volume, in a later binding, contains fourteen large miniatures by at least two artists as well as many initials. The calendar is in Latin with some French as well. Several of the texts are incomplete. The coats of arms of the original owners, on f. 15r, on the page withthe Annunciation scene, have been defaced. Contains the bookplate of Henry Harris. A Flemish book of hours, written ca. 1425 by a Flemish scribe in a gothic hand. The volume, in a later binding and modern slipcase, contains thirteen large miniatures as well as initials. In a contemporary hand, on f. 79v, is the ownership notation: "ce livre appertien a isabelle louchier." Gift of Madelyn C. Hickmott.
