How to connect from
off-campus
The Book Arts Program (BAP) consists of the Letterpress Studio and Open Bindery Studio. It is open to all levels of experience; instruction on using the printing presses and in binding books is given. All supplies and equipment are provided free of charge. There is no fee for the workshops. The studios are open Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. For more information see the Mission Statement.
SPRING TERM HOURS: The Spring Session of the Book Arts Workshop runs from Tuesday, March 25 through Friday, June 6, 2008.

Explore the world of letterpress printing and gain hands-on experience in typesetting and presswork. All those interested are free to set type and print materials of their own design. Student projects have included books of verse, posters, greeting cards, stationery, invitations, and many more!
All sessions run from 6-9pm unless otherwise posted.
**Note: Letterpress instruction is offered each Tuesday during the first hour (6-7pm). Instruction is available Monday and Thursday for drop-ins as time permits.

The Open Bindery is located adjacent to the Letterpress Studio in Baker Room 21.
Drop by the studio and work on your own project or sign up for a workshop. All sessions begin Tuesday nights at 6:00 and finish at 9pm. All classes require advanced sign-up; blitz Deborah Howe (Deborah"dot"Howe"at"Dartmouth"dot"edu) and list the date of the class. Limit 8 per class.
