The Evans Map Room has 3 dedicated workstations for using the software, ArcGIS. Use of the software is limited to current students, staff and faculty of Dartmouth College. At this time, we can provide limited assistance for those who have some experience using the software. We have several types of GIS Tools which help make using ArcGIS easier including obtaining the TIGER files for the United States. We also have the ability to print large format color sheets.
There are charges for printing anything in the Evans Map Room. Click here to see the price list for our printing services.
We can scan large items with our scanner. Please read our Scanning FAQ for more information and instructions.

To highlight the uses of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software, staff in the Evans Map Room are creating a series of maps. The data could spotlight a current event, look at historical data or show a faculty member's current research. All of the maps for this year long exhibit come from the Evans Map Room. If you have questions, please let us know.
