Stacks Maintenance is responsible for reshelving material after it has been returned, shifting books and journals within the stacks, and transferring material in order to create more space for "high-use" material, as well as maintaining and updating the Baker-Berry Stacks Guide.The stacks are open to visitors, but children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Most books and bound periodicals in Baker-Berry Library are shelved in the stacks. Material shelved in this area is generally available for use in the library and may be checked out by individuals with valid Dartmouth College Library borrowing privileges.
