Major: Art History with French Minor

Current Work and Impact of French Minor: I currently live in New York City, where I work in development for a children’s organization called The Fresh Air Fund. Our mission is to provide free summer vacations for inner-city kids who don’t have the opportunity to get out of New York; my job is mainly to write and put together grant proposals for funding for our many programs.

When I graduated from Dartmouth, I moved to Paris for a year and a half where I worked as a paralegal. My time in Paris was amazing, and while I no longer work in the legal field, living there more than solidified my language skills. These skills have been really useful in my new position as well, as we reach out to the growing French-speaking North African population in the city. I was amazed at how many Dartmouth alums I encountered in France! It was such a unique gift to have that network there, and I’m so happy that French continues to play a role in my life here in New York.
