Saturday, September 8
10:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The Choose Your Own Adventure portion of the Shared Academic Experience is just that – a chance for you to pick the best way to experience and interact with the Orozco Murals ahead of Professor Coffey's lecture on Saturday, September 8 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hopkins Center, Spaulding Auditorium.

Since there are "Transitioning to College Learning" programs at the same time, we've made the morning flexible.

There are a few different activities from which you can "choose" (we encourage you to do more than one!):

• Join one of three sessions in the Mural Room in Baker Library where Professor Coffey will answer questions and discuss specific images in The Epic of American Civilization. See below for session start times and instructions.
• Meet with staff from the Hood Museum of Art, Rauner Special Collections Library, and Baker-Berry Library, who will be in the Rauner Special Collections Library to introduce you to archival documents and preparatory drawings related to Orozco's time at Dartmouth and the creation of the mural.
• View films related to Orozco's mural in the Bryant Room in Rauner Library.

The forty-five-minute sessions with Professor Coffey begin at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 12:15 p.m. Look for O-Team members in the Main Hall of Baker Library.

Make sure to allow enough time to have a full "adventure." The choice is yours!

The culminating lecture is at 3pm (in Spaulding Auditorium) and is a required event; please make sure you bring your Dartmouth ID.
