This page will guide you through essential information about transfer credit policies and the credit evaluation process for incoming transfer students.
To evaluate your courses for transfer credit, submit the materials listed below no later than July 7, 2025.
Matriculating Transfer Student Course Evaluation Process
1. Complete the acceptance process with admissions
2. Submit Materials - no later than July 7, 2025
3. Credits are Evaluated
Transfer Credit is credit earned for successful performance in a course at another institution that meets Dartmouth's transfer credit rules and may be applied toward the Dartmouth degree

A minimum of three semester hours or four quarter hours are required to earn one Dartmouth course credit | A pass/fail course is not accepted in the absence of proof that the grade is a minimum C quality. Courses elected under such a grading option do not carry distributive or world culture attributes. |

The minimum number of enrolled (On/Resident) terms will be six for all transfer students. International Students with an F-1 status follow a general plan of three terms On/Resident followed by one Off term

Class years are updated once at the end of the re-evaluation period.
