GrantGPS Services

Brainstorming Ideas

Meeting with someone one-on-one can be a powerful way to gain clarity about your ideas. We are happy to meet with proposal writers to learn more about your research goals and interests.

Assisting with Identifying Funding Opportunities

GrantGPS can research and present you with possible funding opportunities, including those available through awards, fellowships, federal grants, and more. We work closely with the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations and the Office of Sponsored Projects, to make sure that your proposals travel through the correct Dartmouth channels to ensure you the greatest support.

Coordinating Application Processes

Applications are often multi-step procedures that can be confusing. We can provide you with the resources to write statements, develop budgets, and submit your proposals on time. This feature of the services we offer can also involve creating guidelines and timelines for submission.

Editing and External Review

Our team offers internal editing and review of your proposal. Also, if you would like to have an external editor and/or a colleague at another institution help you review an application in process, GrantGPS can help cover these costs. We are connected to freelance editors in a variety of fields and can offer honoraria to colleagues who have expertise in your field. We encourage you to consult with your department chair or other advisor for guidance on identifying appropriate external reviewers. We would also suggest that you plan at least a month ahead if you would like to use this service.

Please note: We do not cover rush fees associated with editing and review.

Facilitating Connections to Internal Resources

Dartmouth may be able to provide funding for a wide variety of projects and we are able to give you up-to-date information about internal resources that can bolster your research.
