Equine Athletes

Dartmouth has the good fortune to have a number of wonderful equine athletes. If you think you have a horse that would make an appropriate addition to our team, please contact Tenley Walsh.

Wondering what ever happened to your favorite Dartmouth horse? Check out the retirees.

bodie jumping

Bodie

Bodie is an adorable 15.1 hand QH gelding purchased from Elise Stigum.  Bodie has been-there-done-that and is the steady-eddie of our school horse string.  As our shortest school horse, Bodie likes to say he's "small but mighty"!  You can find him on Instagram by his #bodieiscute

Bravado Jumping Oxer

Bravado

Bravado is a 17 hand Hanoverian/TB gelding who had a show record in both Hunters and Jumpers before coming to Dartmouth.  Bravado was recruited to Dartmouth to join the Heavyweight rowers but lost weight over the summer and has joined the cross-country team.

Archer

Archer is our newest donation coming to us from his homes in VT and VA!  Archer is a Canadian Sporthorse and has a background in Foxhunting, Dressage and Eventing.  Archer's "brother" Brady was missing him for the past two years and the long-distance thing wasn't working so we decided it was time to reunite them!

schoolietommyjump

Tommy "Mardi Gras"

Tommy is a 16.1 Hanoverian and was donated by Kathi Bruce.  Tommy has an extensive Dressage background but also loves to jump!  Born and bred in Vermont, Tommy voted for Bernie Sanders in the last election and always chooses Ben & Jerry's.

Fedanga "Fendi"

Fendi is a 16 hand, Dutch Warmblood, mare donated by the Jain family. Fendi joins Dartmouth with an extensive and successful show record in the jumpers.  Fendi has traveled the West coast to different competitions and is now enjoying settling into life in New England.

 eldon

Eldon

Eldon is a 5-hand Treeing-Walker Coonhound who can jump over any and all obstacles and is the fastest animal seen on the farm.
