Dartmouth women attend Grace Hopper Conference in Portland, Oregon - November 2011

Thanks to  support from the Neukom Institute, Computer Science Department, and the Institute for Security and Technology Studies (ISTS), six Dartmouth  women  recently attended the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing in Portland, Oregon where they  found inspiration and networking opportunities.  This included meeting up with Dartmouth (and WISP!) alumna Christine (Chrissy) Alvarado D'98, associate professor of Computer Science at Harvey Mudd College, who was one of the event speakers. We hope to see more Dartmouth women attend next year when it will be held in Baltimore, MD from October 3-6 .  Mark your calendars!  To learn more about the conference,  talk to  one of the students or visit the Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Computing  website at  http://gracehopper.org/
