UGAR is the arm of the Dean of Faculty office that oversees advising and research within the undergraduate curriculum.  We support faculty in their role as academic advisors and intellectual mentors to students and help students negotiate the myriad of academic opportunities in and out of the classroom.  In keeping with Dartmouth’s core values of “academic excellence” and “independence of thought within a culture of collaboration,” UGAR promotes advising and research across campus as these foster the individualization of students’ academic exploration and intellectual growth.
