The year 2008 marks the 50th anniversary of study abroad at Dartmouth. Today the College offers 48 Language Study Abroad (LSA) and Foreign Study Programs (FSP) in 23 countries, from Morocco to Argentina. In 2006/2007, 64 percent of Dartmouth students studied abroad—the highest rate by far in the Ivy League. Over half of Dartmouth graduates have studied abroad since 1974/1975 (with the exception of one year). Participation is bolstered by Dartmouth's financial aid initiatives, which help qualified students pay for beyond-tuition costs such as plane fare, ground transportation, and meals. All programs include three credit classes and are led by Dartmouth faculty members. The following videos are from October 2008.
