In an interactive webcast that aired live on Dec. 5, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Carol Folt spoke on undergraduate education at Dartmouth. The webcast, "Undergraduate Education: Why It's Different at Dartmouth," covered a range of relevant topics including why undergraduate education has become participatory between students and faculty, why students pursue a global Dartmouth experience and why intellectual risk taking and multidisciplinary learning are essential to a successful undergraduate education.
Alumni Council President Rick Routhier '73 hosted the webcast and Trustee Al Mulley '70, Tu'73 moderated. Folt provided viewers the opportunity to ask questions via e-mail. The webcast can be viewed at http://webcast.dartmouth.edu.
