Participate in a DHMC Research Study!
DHMC is conducting an 11-week study that investigates a combined Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Health At Every Size (HAES/ACT) Treatment for depression and obesity in women. Research is conducted at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center by researchers from the Department of Psychiatry. The group therapy sessions are led by a DHMC psychologist, with a small group of other women with similar concerns. Sessions last two hours, and meet at DHMC, at a time convenient for you. Salad Celebration Potluck - Join us to celebrate the summer harvest with this "potluck" event! We invite you to bring your favorite fruit or vegetable ready to add to a salad. For example, some people like to add chickpeas to their salad which would be a great choice to contribute. Please bring a serving (approx. 1 cup) of your item of choice. We will provide the greens and several homemade dressings along with recipes. This will be a great opportunity to get new ideas of what to make for your next summer party!
Wellness encompasses many areas of our lives and no two people approach it the same way. Wellness is an active and dynamic process starting from a place of self-reflection that moves us closer to a higher level of self-appreciation as we work toward wellbeing. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to begin this work. At this session, you will be given time to reflect on and identify what choices you may need to make to expand your wellness potential. The session will include both individual self-assessment and small group interaction. Register here today!
