How Weekly Walk-In Hours Work

Are you a first year student? First time reaching out to the Health Professions Program? If you answered yes to either, WELCOME! Below is more information on how you can work with HPP on your pre-health journey.

Your pre-health advisor will have WEEKLY walk-in hours where you can come discuss anything related to your pre-health journey—be that d-plan, major choice, internship opportunities, off-term ideas, med school, or just life! So come drop by Parker House (directions HERE)!

Here's how Walk-In Hours work:

  • It is a first come, first served in-person sign-up sheet
  • There will be a clipboard outside of Annette Hamilton's office Room 103 beginning at 8:45am. (Note: when you walk into Parker House, go directly down the hallway to the left of the stairs and Room 103 will be the door passed the printer. You will see a big green sign over the hallway that says Health Professions Program).
  • All slots are 15 min. You can only sign up for one slot! If you feel you need more time after your walk-in session, you can work with Annette to find an individual appointment time with an advisor or schedule one on Calendly. Please come to walk-ins first before contacting Annette or signing up on Calendly.
  • Sign up for an open time slot and you can either wait in Annette's office or come back a few minutes before your scheduled time.
  • If all slots are filled for the day, Annette will help find a future time and date that works with your schedule.

Extra walk-in hours are available in the beginning of each term and occasionally throughout the term. Please check our homepage regularly or check the HPP emails to find out when extra hours are available.
