Sue Finegan is a litigation partner at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo, P.C. As chair of the firm's Pro Bono Committee and the firm's first pro bono partner, Ms. Finegan serves as lead counsel on numerous high-profile pro bono litigation matters and manages the firm's pro bono efforts nationally. She previously served as the founding legal director of the Victim Rights Law Center, a nonprofit that provides free, comprehensive legal services for sexual assault survivors. She started her legal career as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court and at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and then worked as a commercial litigation associate, then partner, at Mintz.

Ms. Finegan has extensive nonprofit board and commission experience in the Massachusetts legal community, including appointments as co-chair of the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission, chair of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee Pro Bono Legal Services, and chair of the Massachusetts Judicial Conduct Commission.

The recipient of both the Dartmouth Alumni Award and the Dartmouth Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award, Ms. Finegan has devoted significant volunteer service to Dartmouth throughout the years, including roles as Class President, Club President, Alumni Councilor, Rockefeller Center Advisory Board member, and one of two alumni representatives on the Presidential Steering Committee on Moving Dartmouth Forward.

She lives in Newton, Massachusetts with her husband and two sons.
