My name is Veronica Shea, and I am a ’22 from Boston, MA. I plan on majoring in biology with a possible minor in global health through the anthropology department. On campus, I spend a significant amount of time working in The Cramer Lab at Geisel which is in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Our focus is on the pathogenesis and genetic makeup of a fungi known as Aspergillus that affects immunocompromised individuals. Over the past summer, I enjoyed volunteering and shadowing at a nearby hospital and hope one day to work in a similar setting. Back home, I enjoy spending time with friends/family, baking, and travelling.
