Dinner with Dr. Brooke T. McLaughlin MD, MPH

On Monday, May 13th, the Nathan Smith Society hosted a fellow Dartmouth graduate, Dr. Brooke T. McLaughlin MD, MPH (Dartmouth ’01, TDI ’05 and Geisel ’14). Dr. McLaughlin is a researcher in the field of transplantation and a recent founder of her own company, GraftBio. GraftBio is a research-stage incubator that aims to innovate transplant immunology by tackling challenges such as chronic rejection and long clinical trial times for patients. She is currently in Hanover while preparing to go back to Boston to continue working in the Biotechnology industry. Dr. McLaughlin gave an overview of her career beginning life as an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology to her multiple entrepreneurial endeavors and her family life today. She shared her experience in business and medicine with the undergraduates attendees. Undergraduates asked very thoughtful questions that kept the discussion vibrant and our speaker very engaged. Thanks to all those who attended!
