Filmmaker Henk Handloegten (German Film and Television Academy of Berlin) Fall term of 2026   (Film and Media Studies Department)

Henk Handloegten graduated at the German Film-and Television Academy in Berlin in 2000. He received numerous awards for his debut film *PAUL IS DEAD*. This was followed by directing successful feature films such as LEARNING TO LIE and SUMMER WINDOW, as well as co-writing the screenplay for GOODBYE LENIN!, “LOVE IN THOUGHTS”, and most recently Pawel Pawlikowskis “FATHERLAND”. He is the showrunner, director, and writer of all five seasons of BABYLON BERLIN (with Achim von Borries and Tom Tykwer). In autumn, the final season of this international series will be broadcasted around the world.
