Many black men in America say they are getting a bum rap from black women
writers. They accuse these writers of achieving success by focusing criticism
on black males. In this specially adapted Phil Donahue program, Alice Walker,
Michelle Wallace, Ntosake Shange, Angela Davis, and Maya Angelou argue that the
criticism is a reflection of the problem of self-image these men have.
