Collis Governing Board Mission
The Collis Governing Board is a student organization that both sponsors and
initiates programming within the Collis Center to promote social and cultural
awareness of all members of the Dartmouth Community.
Funding applications
Funding applications may be downloaded (pdf) here or picked up in the Collis Center and
Student Activities Office in 303 Collis. Funding applications are due by 12
noon on Fridays.
Programming
Some of the specific programs CGB supports are:
- Various Sports Packages on the Collis DirecTV system (NFL Ticket, FOX
Soccer Channel, NHL Hockey, MLB Baseball package, GOAL Soccer coverage and
others).
- Cafe entertainment
- Art exhibits
The Collis Governing Board also supports the Music and Events at
the Lone Pine Tavern every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
If you are interested in performing, please contact the Collis Governing Board.
Musicians are paid $35 for one "shift" (1.5 hours with break). If the Musician
has additional performers with him/her onstage, the rate goes up $15 per
performer up to $80 per shift.
CGB also makes contributions to the upgrading of facilities at Collis
especially in support of student programming. In the past they have purchased
lighting instruments, communications equipment, audio equipment and
staging for the Collis Center.
