How to Order Official Transcripts

Step 1: Log in and Register

With your first order, confirm your information to register your account. Note that the State/Province field is required. Enter “N/A” if it does not apply. You will not see this page for subsequent transcript orders. You can edit your Address Details any time from the My Account link at the top left of the system.

Step 2: Select Documents

First, search for your destination. Click the blue “i” symbol to preview address and contact information for each destination search result. If you find your destination in the system, it loads the recipient’s address information and preferred transcript type automatically.

If you do not find your destination, select ENTER YOUR OWN to enter the transcript type and address information manually.

Note: email providers use filters to reduce spam. Verify that the recipient can receive email from Parchment (parchment.com), Dartmouth’s eTranscript provider, to ensure their spam filter does not filter out your document emails.

Paper Transcripts

  • Processed within two business days; delivery time is dependent on the delivery method chosen

    • USPS First-Class Mail - $5.00 each
    • USPS International - $10.00 each
    • FedEx express delivery - $27.50 each
    • FedEx International express delivery - $50.00 each

 

Step 3: Order Details

Provide additional order details based on the transcript type you have selected:

Paper Transcript – Mailed

  • Name While in Attendance
  • Hold for Grades – Processed once current term grades are available
  • Hold for Degree – Processed upon award of degree
  • Recipient Name
  • Recipient Email Address
  • Add an Attachment (up to 5 megabytes in size) – Optional
  • Purpose for Transcript – Optional

 

  • Recipient Mailing Name
  • Recipient Mailing Address
  • Name While in Attendance
  • Hold for Grades – Processed once current term grades are available
  • Hold for Degree – Processed upon award of degree
  • Delivery Method (standard or expedited)
  • Purpose for Transcript – Optional
  • Quantity (Max 10)
  • Add an Attachment – Optional (We recommend a 10-page limit for attachments. Total page count is limited to 16, including the transcript and any citations.)

Note: If you selected AMCAS or another participating “CAS” organization as the recipient, include the transcript request form or cover sheet as an attachment. For AMCAS, the system will prompt you to provide your AAMC ID and AAMC Transcript ID after you select CONTINUE.

Review the contents of your shopping cart and make any necessary changes. Once satisfied select CHECKOUT.

Step 4: Provide Consent

Per the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Dartmouth requires your consent to release your official transcripts to a third party. To proceed, read the consent statement and select NEXT.

Step 5: Payment

Enter your payment method if necessary, and confirm or change your billing address. Any charges will appear as “Parchment Inc.” on your credit card statement.

 

Step 6: Review Order

Select CONFIRM to finalize your order.

 

Confirmation Page

You will receive emails to confirm receipt of your order, and to confirm that the order has been shipped. Direct any questions about the receipt of a transcript to the recipient of the transcript.
