The Office of Residential Life at Dartmouth College has five departments reporting to the Dean of Residential Life. These departments work cooperatively to develop and provide a variety of services and programs intended to enrich the residential experience for all Dartmouth undergraduates.
We oversee long term and daily operations of the Office of Residential Life, Senior Scholars Program, Class of 1960 Art Award, development activities, assessment & research, communications & marketing and coordination of Office of Residential Life diversity initiatives.
We assign rooms to undergraduates and distribute keys. We develop policies and procedures related to the housing assignment process.
We oversee building maintenance and repair programs. We're responsible for custodial services, room and furniture inventory systems, and storage. We manage construction and renovation projects.
We oversee all financial and personnel issues for the Office of Residential Life.
We are responsible for hall programs and student staff selection, training, and evaluation. We provide counseling, advising, and mediation & referral resources for all students in residence. We conduct diversity, education, and outreach initiatives.
We are responsible for leadership development, organizational management and general administration for all Greek letter organizations, Undergraduate Societies and Senior Societies at Dartmouth College.
