Professional Departments and Staff

The Office of Residential Life at Dartmouth College has five departments reporting to the Dean of Residential Life. These departments work cooperatively to develop and provide a variety of services and programs intended to enrich the residential experience for all Dartmouth undergraduates.

Dean's Office

We oversee long term and daily operations of the Office of Residential Life, Senior Scholars Program, Class of 1960 Art Award, development activities, assessment & research, communications & marketing and coordination of Office of Residential Life diversity initiatives.

Housing Office

We assign rooms to undergraduates and distribute keys. We develops policies and procedures related to the housing assignment process.

Residential Operations

We oversee building maintenance and repair programs. We're responsible for custodial services, room and furniture inventory systems, and storage. We manage construction and renovation projects.

Business Office/Human Resources

We oversee all financial and personnel issues for the Office of Residential Life.

Residential Education

We are responsible for hall programs and student staff selection, training, and evaluation. We provide counseling, advising, and mediation & referral resources for all students in residence. We conduct diversity, education, and outreach initiatives.

Coed, Fraternity, Sorority, Undergraduate & Senior Society Administration

We are responsible for leadership development, organizational management and general administration for all Coed, Fraternity, Sorority, Undergraduate and Senior Society organizations at Dartmouth College.
