About Us

Mission

The mission of the Dartmouth College Office of Public Affairs is to advance the effectiveness of the College and its component parts in fostering the relationships between Dartmouth and its constituent groups that encourage a love of learning and discovery. This mission is accomplished through print, electronic and event-based communications programs designed to enhance the stature and reputation of the institution; illustrate the energetic and vibrant atmosphere of the College; and create knowledge, understanding and support of the College's programs among its various constituent groups.

Vision

The Dartmouth College Office of Public Affairs aspires to be a leader among college and university communications programs, setting a standard in effectiveness for its peer institutions. This vision includes a constant striving for innovative and creative ways of establishing and maintaining communications programs that effectively combine conventional communications tools with emerging technologies. This vision is based on the principles that the most effective form of public affairs programming relies on relationships built on the basis of two-way interactive communication with the College’s constituents, and on the integration of communications across the College.
