Doris Kearns Goodwin taught at Harvard University as a professor of government for ten years. She also worked as Assistant to President Lyndon Johnson during his last year in office and later assisted him in preparing his memoirs. Her books include Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream, The Fitzgeralds and the Kennedys, and No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The Homefront in World War II, for which she received the Pulitzer Prize. Ms. Kearns has appeared on-air in the PBS documentaries on Lyndon Johnson, the Kennedy family, Franklin Roosevelt, and Ken Burns' "The History of Baseball."
