Michael Beschloss

Michael Beschloss is an historian who specializes in the U.S. presidency and politics. He is the author of the national bestseller Taking Charge: The Johnson White House Tapes, 1963-64. His other books include The Crisis Years: Kennedy and Khrushchev, 1960-63 and Mayday: Eisenhower, Khrushchev and the U-2 Affair. He also co-authored, with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbott, At the Highest Levels: The Inside Story of the End of the Cold War. He serves on the boards of Foreign Affairs magazine and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars Cold War History Project.
