8th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Social Justice Awards.

2010 Nominations Due October 16, 2009

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Social Justice Awards were established to recognize Dartmouth, DMS, Thayer, and Tuck alumni/ae as well as current and former faculty, administrators, and staff who have contributed significantly to social justice, peace, civil rights, education, public health, or environmental justice. A new category now honors student organizations as well. The awards honor members of the Dartmouth community who have demonstrated their compassion, perseverance, courage, and leadership by engaging in the difficult work of fostering human dignity and our common humanity through their projects, programs, and visions. The award recipients will be selected by the MLK Celebration Committee and will be honored at an awards ceremony planned for late January, 2010.
