Extensions for Programs and Services

  • Individuals residing in College housing may extend their lease until a date 180 days after the last day worked, provided rent continues to be paid on the 1st of each month in advance.
  • AIM program borrowers may extend their loan obligation three years from the last day worked.
  • Employees living in housing which gives Dartmouth a Repurchase Option will have ten years from the last day worked for the triggering notice to occur.
  • Balances for any outstanding employee loans will be deducted (as stated in the loan agreement) from the final check.
  • Tuition assistance requests already approved will be honored and paid upon completion of course(s) per the tuition policy even if the class ends following the last date of employment.
  • The Dartmouth College Child Care Center will waive the thirty-day limit on continued enrollment of a family's child in the Center without penalty, extending the eligibility for enrollment from the last day worked until June 30, 2009, if requested.
  • Paid gym memberships may continue through June 30. Renewals would be subject to community membership rates.
  • Career counseling and outplacement support will be offered by Human Resources to assist employees with their transition.
