Bio
Antonia Barry was a career diplomat with the U.S. Department of State for thirteen years. She has worked at the U.S. Embassies in Syria, Lebanon and Kuwait and, in 2003, served in Iraq as the Coalition Provisional Authority’s representative to the Iraqi province of Babil. She also completed assignments as Political Advisor for the Middle East at the United States’ Mission to the United Nations, Special Assistant for the Middle East to the Deputy Secretary of State and as Iraq desk officer. She was educated at Harvard University and Villanova University School of Law, and has taught Middle East politics at Harvard and the University of Texas at Austin.
