Visiting Faculty

Through the generosity of the Max Kade Foundation, the Department regularly invites prominent representatives of German, Austrian, and Swiss academic or public life to teach an advanced seminar in the spring term. Past Max Kade Distinguished Visiting Professors include the literary scholars Johannes Anderegg, Eckart Klessmann, Joseph Kruse, Ulrich Profitlich, Franz K. Stanzel, Hartmut Steinecke, Jacob Steiner, and Renate and Rolf Wiggershaus; the authors Katja Behrens, Peter Bichsel, Lilian Faschinger, Gerd Fuchs, Durs Grünbein, Thomas Hürlimann, Felicitas Hoppe, Katja Lange-Müller, Klaus Modick, Peter Rühmkorf, Peter Schneider, Zafer Senocak, Werner Söllner, Hans-Michael Speier Martin Walser, and Christa Wolf; the filmmakers Oskar Holl and Jan Schütte; and the politicians Walter Picard and Eva Rühmkorf.


The Kade Visitor in the spring term of 2009 is Margareth Obexer.
In the spring of 2010 it will be Thea Dorn.
