Overview of Research:
I am geomicrobiologist and a Dickey Fellow with the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding) working in James Scott's laboratory in Earth Sciences. I am interested in all aspects of microbial ecology but focus on permanently cold, high latitude environments. I find subglacial ecosystems most intriguing because we know very little about the life that exists and grows in this permanently cold and dark microbial sanctuary.
