- Honors Presentations: Classics Honor
Students will present their work to the department and their peers.
Classics prizes will also be given in the presence of one of our most
esteemed donors, the Firestones, providers of a yearly prize in honor of
their son, Justin Firestone '92. Join us Thursday, May 15th, at 2pm in
108 Reed Hall. A reception will follow in 322 Reed Hall.
- Katherine Blume, is coming to
Dartmouth College to present a performance titled, "The Boycott: A Climate
Comedy," with the students of CLST 2, Monday May 19th at 7pm in Collis
Commonground.
- David
Levene (New York University) will give a special talk for the students
enrolled in Latin 10 & Latin 26 on Thursday, May 22nd. The talk
will take place in carpenter 013 at 2:00pm. Dr. Levene will join
students & faculty at the picnic that night.
- Our annual student picnic is scheduled for Thursday, May 22nd starting at
5pm. Location is Storrs Pond on
Reservoir Road, a short distance from campus. Professor Van den
Berg will lead a bike group to the picnic; bike group meet location TBA.
- Our annual Commencement Breakfast will take place the morning of
Graduation, Sunday, June 8th. We will start at 7:30am in 322 Reed Hall
and go until about 9:30am. Graduating senior classics majors &
minors and their guests are welcome to attend.
