The Counseling and Human Development Center (CHD) offers a comprehensive treatment program for alcohol and/or other drugs.
A structured interview designed to collect data about substance use.
One-on-one short-term counseling sessions designed to help student explore issues related to alcohol and other drug use.
A non-AA group designed to help students examine their relationship with alcohol and/or other drugs. Group topics include abstinence, peer pressure, intoxication, binge drinking, and health related risks. Students may be referred or self-referred to group counseling. The CHD center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 646-9442 for an appointment. Emergency services are provided for students after hours. After hours, contact Safety and Security at 646-4000 to access a counselor on call. Services are confidential.
