History Chi Gamma Epsilon began as the fraternal organization Beta Gamma in 1904. In 1905, Beta Gamma was given national status as the Gamma Epsilon chapter of Kappa Sigma. From 1914-1916, the brothers raised enough money to build a small wooden house in an empty lot at 7 Webster Avenue. The house was razed in 1935 for need of a larger structure. By 1937, the current house was completed. In 1981 the house become a local fraternity and settled on the name Chi Gamma Epsilon on March 31, 1987
Philanthropy Chi Gam participates in The Prouty, an event dedicated to raising money for cancer research, every summer. Throughout the rest of the year, we work with programs such as SEAD and special olympics to assist in the bettering of our world and the local community
