Class of 1964 and 1969

AlumniB

The housing application portal is now live. See link at bottom of page.

Reunion guests are invited to stay in College residence halls. As undergraduate residences, these spaces do not offer the amenities found in a hotel, but their convenience to on-campus events makes them popular housing options.

Assignments and Waitlists

Due to the large number of applications we receive and limited buildings we have on campus we anticipate a waitlist for some reunion classes. We can not make assignments in realtime, so the waitlist is forecasted, but this information will be communicated when it is known. At that time you will be given the option to remain on the waitlist, or be removed and issued a refund.

Room configurations differ by location. We do our best to keep applicants with each other, and classes in their assigned buildings until we reach capacity and begin using overflow locations. At that point assignments are based solely on application dates and room availability. Guests will not share a room unless they are on the same application. If guests are on the same application we do our best based on room configurations available. We are not able to make location accomodations unless there is an accessibility request.

Occupancy Dates

Rooms for guests from the Classes of 1964 and 1969 will be available for occupancy after 12:00pm on Monday, June 10. Checkout time for guests is by 11:00am on Thursday, June 13.

Due to the large number of guests staying in the residence halls during the Commencement and Reunion period, we cannot accommodate early arrivals or late departures. If you need to stay an extra day, you need to make alternative housing arrangements. Information about off-campus accommodations in and around Hanover can be found here

Rates and Applications

Reunion guests are invited to stay in College residence halls. As undergraduate residences, these spaces do not offer the amenities found in a hotel, but their convenience to on-campus events makes them popular housing options. The Reunion Online Housing application will be available on March 1, 2022 at 8:00am EST.

The nightly rate for Reunion guests is $62.00 per person. The deadline for submitting applications is April 3, 2022 at 11:59pm EST. Guests whose applications are submitted after the application deadline will be housed only if space is available.

Accessibility

Several of the buildings available for Commencement housing have accessible first floor rooms, and a few now have elevator access to all floors. Service animals accompanying guests with disabilities are welcome in the residence halls. Accessible accommodations can be requested in the Personal Requests section of the online application. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to fulfill your request, but we will do our very best.

Family Housing

Dartmouth's residence halls have a variety of room types available, many with multiple bedroom units. When possible, these adjoining rooms will be used to accommodate family members or friends who do not require a separate, unconnected bedroom. It is important to fill out the online application with names, ages and relationship(s) of members of your party so we can determine the best housing accommodations.

Children Under 2

Children under the age of two are free.

Pets

Pets, other than service animals, are not allowed in the residence halls.

Payment

The online application accepts payment using MasterCard, Visa, American Express or electronic check.

Information on Residence Hall Accommodations

Please remember that the residence hall accommodations, although convenient, do not offer the amenities of a fully staffed hotel. Our staff will work very hard to make your rooms as comfortable and as clean as residence hall rooms can be. Because students will have just vacated the rooms, there will not be enough time to do minor repairs and maintenance. Keep in mind that we do not provide daily maid service, all of our rooms contain single (twin) beds, and the majority of our rooms do not have private baths. Most of our buildings are small and have no more than four floors. As part of our services, we do provide linens, a blanket, and a pillow per guest.

Check in will be at class headquarters:

Class of 1964 - Occom Commons in Goldstein Hall.

Class of 1969 - McLaughlin Lawn between the McLaughling cluster and Maynard Parking Lot

There will be signage directly guests where to go.

There are some residence halls that have parking lots adjacent to the building; as space is allowed you may park there over commencement weekend. Guests arriving before 4:00pm will want to park in metered spaces if no parking lots are available. Guests arriving after 5:00pm may use any campus parking lot, including the Dewey lot behind the Life Sciences Center on the corner of Lyme Road and North Park Street, and the Thompson Arena lot on South Park Street. Parking is not permitted in driveways or emergency access areas. See the Visitor Parking website for additional information.

We will have staff on until 11:00 pm in the Mid Massachusetts Reunion Housing office.

Application Deadline/Late Registration

Applications are due on April 3, 2024 at 11:59pm (EDT). Applications submitted after the deadline will be subject to a $10 late fee.

Changes to Application

You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your online application once it is submitted. If you need to make changes to the information you submitted, please contact our office by telephone (603-646-3288) or e-mail Commencement.and.Reunion@Dartmouth.edu.

Notification of Assignment

Those who apply by the deadline will be housed first and notified of their housing assignments the first week of May. Assignments for people who apply after the deadline will not begin until all on time applicants are made. Housing is not guaranteed for people who apply after the deadline. We will make late assignments after all on time assignments are complete.
