Dr. Jim Yong Kim will serve as the 17th president of Dartmouth College, effective July 1, 2009. The Board of Trustees and President Jim Wright introduced the president-elect to the community on Monday, March 2 in Hanover. Read more
Leadership Statement Approved

The Dartmouth Board of Trustees has approved the Leadership Statement which will guide the search for the College’s 17th president. Entitled “The Opportunity for Leadership at Dartmouth,” the document expresses how Dartmouth’s distinctiveness provides an opportunity for the next president to lead by defining excellence for higher education in the 21st century. Al Mulley ’70, chair of Dartmouth’s Presidential Search Committee, discusses the Leadership Statement, approved by the Dartmouth Board of Trustees in September 2008. The Statement is an articulation of how Dartmouth’s distinctiveness provides an opportunity for the College’s next president to lead by defining excellence for higher education in the 21st century.
