My name is Emily, and I am a junior from San Diego, California. I am majoring in Biology modified with Anthropology. I studied cell death pathways at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute my freshman summer, and researched cancer pathways with Dr. Kurokawa of the Geisel School of Medicine. I currently research the relationship between circumcision and breastfeeding at DHMC with Dr. Holmes. I tutor Psychology, Anthropology, and Statistics, and am the co-president of MAPS (Minority Association of Pre-Health Students). Outside of my academic pursuits, I am a freshman UGA, a first-year peer mentor, and a sister of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. In my free time, I enjoy running, playing the flute, and reading fashion blogs. Please feel free to ask me any questions!
