My name is Annie Boyoung Ahn, and I am an ’18 from Seoul, South Korea. I am planning on majoring in psychology and minoring in Chinese. On campus, I am an executive board member, editor, and writer for Standpoints, a global health magazine on campus. I also enjoy performing with Recollections, a chorus composed of Dartmouth students, older people with dementia, and their care partners. I conduct research with Dr. Robert Santulli from the PBS department, studying the college student attitudes toward people with dementia. During freshman summer, I had a wonderful time studying abroad in Beijing, China on the China FSP. I went back to Beijing for my off-term to work at a foster home, where I taught children with disabilities. I hope to pursue a career in medicine and global health in the future.
